POPS HQ: Popping up in July
We can’t get enough of this weather! With events left, right and centre, we thought we’d share with you an insight into what we’ve been up to the last few weeks.
This summer, we took our delicious popsicles and sorbets to Henley Royal Regatta, to witness fantastic rowing along the River Thames. The regatta was filled with smart enclosures, food courts, bars and not to forget, entertainment! A live band played every evening at the Mahiki area, metres away from our POPS bar! We also had our POPScycle bike along the river to serve passers-by our frozen treats. It’s fair to say POPS were in high demand that weekend.
We attended the Apollo Magazine’s Summer Party, the sister Art Magazine to the Spectator Magazine. The rooms were full of beautiful vibrant flowers and had been spritzed with Diptique scents. All of the guest’s senses were sure to be tingled. The rooms and gardens quickly filled up with glamorous and quirky artists, including Grayson Perry who was the first guest to take a POPS!
With 140,000 visitors, did you spot us at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show this year? The weather was fantastic for our ice cream van 'Poppy' and got lots of attention. The beautiful Hampton Court Palace is set in an extraordinary location next to the River Thames, 10 miles outside the centre of London. Every year, the grounds get transformed into a festival for flowers and everything outdoorsy or beautiful for a week. There were stalls offering complimentary face art featuring dry pressed flowers and lots of glitter, we were there when guests needed to cool down with ice cream, sorbets and popsicles galore.
For a few weeks now, you may have noticed POPS at Bicester Village in Oxford. We have been providing busy shoppers with our delicious PIMM’S and Strawberry & Mint popsicles to make their shopping trip even more enjoyable. This has been so popular that we’ll continuing our pops-up for the whole summer. So, if you’re heading to the outlet to shop for your summer wardrobe, be sure to keep us in mind and pick up a popsicle! Why not drop by this weekend?
With the stunning Kenwood House as a backdrop, Soho House & Co know how to throw a festival. A day of all you can eat food and drink, including Pizza East & Chicken Shop whilst artists such as Black-Eyed Peas & Groove Armada performed. Our House POPS, in both Eastern Standard & House Press Juice varieties, kept guests cool in the 25-degree heat.
To celebrate 50 years of Pride, we donated our Frozen Cocktails to Trafalgar Square for their Pride Jubilee. It was a day of ice-breaking, lolly-popping & people-loving which we were thrilled to be a part of!
The world-famous jeweller partnered with POPS to treat customers to our popsicles in their Covent Garden store over Pride weekend. Taking advantage of our bespoke service, the iconic turquoise was used to brand the popsicles for the event.
